New Time. Same Mission.
For years, our doors have opened at 10am. That's changing — not because our mission is changing, but because it's growing.
Ephesians 2 tells us that in Christ, the wall that divided people has come down. Those who were far off have been brought near. And now we're being built together — not as scattered individuals, but as a household, a dwelling place for God. That's not just a passage we're studying. It's who we are.
A 4pm service isn't a compromise. It's a door we didn't have before — open to the family who's never made it to church because Sunday mornings belong to games and practices. Open to the person who works the early shift and thought "church" wasn't for people like them. Open to someone who's never set foot inside a church and wouldn't know where to start. And open to the ones already here, who now have a new way to bring a neighbor, a coworker, a friend.
It has become clear over the last several months that God is inviting & entrusting us with a new service time. What could have been a scheduling problem, we're claiming as a mission opportunity — one more way to see people brought near and built up in a relationship with Jesus.
So on September 20, we're not just changing a time. We're opening a door. And we're asking every one of you to bring someone through it with you.

Everything you need to know is covered below!
Our current space is no longer available to us at that time. We won’t pretend that’s not a real loss — but we don’t believe it’s the whole story. We see it as an open door to reach people a 10am slot never could
Sunday, September 20
Same address, different room.
Because of this new opportunity, we are able to move our gathering to the sanctuary at First Baptist Kernersville. We will gather every Sunday at 4pm with much more room for your friends and family.
Yes. We will still be offering Citizens Kids to birth-5th grade.
We understand a new time takes adjustment. Our hope is that for many families, 4pm actually opens up mornings for rest, sports, or extended family time — while still making room for church as part of your Sunday.
Come as you are. Whatever you’d wear on a Sunday morning is exactly right for 4pm too — there’s no dress code, morning or afternoon. We can guarantee pastor Adam will still be in a t-shirt 🙂
Because it is one. Ephesians 2 reminds us that God specializes in turning walls into open doors — bringing people who are far off near. A new time means new people can walk through our doors: families with weekend sports, people who work mornings, neighbors who’ve never been to church at all.
Invite someone. Serve on a team. Show up ready to welcome new faces. And pray that God would use this new door for exactly what He wants it for.
That’s okay, and it’s honest. Change is hard, even good change. We’d rather you bring your real questions and concerns to us than sit with them alone — reach out to Pastor Adam or one of the elders any time.
